{"id":24,"date":"2017-10-08T14:59:44","date_gmt":"2017-10-08T14:59:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sofadog.net\/recipes\/index.php\/2017\/10\/08\/ginger-bars\/"},"modified":"2017-10-08T14:59:44","modified_gmt":"2017-10-08T14:59:44","slug":"ginger-bars","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/sofadog.net\/recipes\/index.php\/2017\/10\/08\/ginger-bars\/","title":{"rendered":"Ginger Bars"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"image_block\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/sofadog.net\/recipes\/\/media\/users\/robin\/IMG_0731.JPG\" alt=\"\" title=\"ginger bars\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/div>\n<p>From Fine Cooking<\/p>\n<p>These have been a Christmas staple for several years running and are a snap to make.<\/p>\n<p>9 oz (2 cups) flour<br \/>\n1 tsp baking soda<br \/>\n0.25 tsp salt<br \/>\n2.5 tsp ginger<br \/>\n1.25 tsp cinnamon<br \/>\n0.5 tsp cloves<br \/>\n6.5 oz (13 Tbs) unsalted butter, softened<br \/>\n10.5 oz (1.33 cups) sugar<br \/>\n2 oz (2.5 Tbs) molasses<br \/>\n1.5 oz (4.5 tsp) honey<br \/>\n2 eggs<br \/>\nconfectioners&#8217; sugar for sprinkling <\/p>\n<p>Preheat oven to 350F, lightly grease a 9&#215;13 cake pan. <\/p>\n<p>Whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, ginger, cinnamon, and cloves.<\/p>\n<p>Beat the butter, sugar, molasses, and honey until creamy and well blended, about 4 minutes.  Add eggs, one at a time, beat until blended.  Add the flour mixture and mix on low until just blended.
